Considering Dental Implants? What to Know First
Consultation is the first step
Most implant specialists offer free or low-cost consultations with 3D imaging (CBCT) to assess bone density and implant candidacy.
Insurance rarely covers implants
Most dental insurance plans do not cover implants. Ask about financing options — CareCredit, Alphaeon Credit, and in-house payment plans are common.
All-on-4 vs. traditional implants
All-on-4 and All-on-6 full-arch implants replace an entire arch of teeth with 4–6 implants. Traditional implants replace individual teeth. Ask your specialist which is right for you.
Bone grafting may be needed
If you have had missing teeth for a long time, bone grafting may be required before implant placement. This adds time and cost to the process.
